The Rise of S.T.E.A.M

There’s a saying, “Who can’t hear, must feel.” When it comes to learning at a young age, especially, we often forgo the listening option for the touch the stove and burn our finger alternative. Only then do we believe our earliest teacher, at home, about the fire being hot.

At school, STEM/S.T.E.A.M labs are spaces provided to benefit our children with active, often hands-on, learning experiences. Here, students receive inquiry based instruction to promote essential life skills such as critical and creative thinking; information, media and technology literacy; leadership and flexibility. Through trial and error, students are given room to make mistakes and plenty of time to learn from them. Failure is productive, as you are ultimately brought closer to solutions!

The science, technology, engineering, art and math programs combine technical and artistic approaches. These courses are designed to impart knowledge of fundamental academic concepts while encouraging application toward solving real world problems. Engineering, coding, robotics, biology and chemistry classes promote exploration, research and discovery through project-based learning. In robotics, your child doesn’t just build a robot! Using visual coding, your child is able to customize a working creation with touches unique to them.

Through guided teamwork, the foundation for social and emotional intelligence is set. Collaborative skills and communication develop through practice. S.T.E.A.M/ STEM labs keep students fully engaged as they embark on their journeys as individuals with style and at their own pace. Equipped with the tools and methods to prepare them for the road ahead, our children can navigate life confidently as independent thinkers. Reinforced by wisdom gained with personal experience, they will become guiding lights for future generations.
